Safe Cycling Troy

My name is Ken Crandall and I am passionate about getting more people to bike. I am a board member of the Troy Bike Rescue and a certifified Cycling Instructor.

Having been the victim of a hit and run incident a little over a year ago, I have dedicated myself to trying to improve bike safety for everyone in Troy.

Here's the goal:

With the assistance of other Cycling Instructors I plan on offering bike safety and skills education on a regular basis. My initial goal is to reach a minimum of 60 individuals in Troy during the first year. My long term goal is to turn this into a sustainable program that serves the entire Troy community regardless of income.

Additionally, I want to provide each attendee with essential safety equipment such as helmets, lights, and reflective vests.

We will need a minimum of 60 each of the following:
Helmets 
Light Combo Sets
Vests 
Safety & Instruction Materials
Total Estimated Cost for 1 year of classes: $2,500

Any amount raised above our goal will go to fund more classes.

This is just the beginning. Not only are we working to expand classes, but we are also working to certify more instructors to help grow this program.
