In need of a helping hand

Donation protected

First of all I would like to thank you for taking your time to read my story and considering giving me a "helping hand".
My name is Paul Carnahan. I make a living installing and finishing hardwood floors. On April 9th, 2015, I was helping a friend install walnut floors in his home and had an accident. While I was doing a rip on a board, I'm not entirely sure how it happened, I amputated my right thumb off.  It was all over in a split second. The surgeons at UPMC were able to reattach it after a 12 hour surgery. Thank God.
Now I'm not one to sue, especially a friend over an accident, but I have learned that sometimes we need to ask for help. This is what I'm here to do. Ask anyone who would like to help a regular guy
get by for a few months.  I have insurance that is going to cover the majority of medical expenses but I will not be able to work for the next several months. I need help with the month to month expenses.  If you choose to give me a "helping hand", you will give me the much needed time that I will need to recover. Not to mention a little piece of mind. Right now I am more worried about going hungry and becoming homeless than I should be, but the bills will mount and who knows how long the landlord will be understanding. These are my concerns.
What I am really asking for is time to get better. I just want to concentrate on my recovery. I don't want to risk working and doing more damage to myself. This will probably cause me to take more time to recover, not to mention may cause me even worse problems in the future.
So hopefully you can find it in your heart to give me a "helping hand". It doesn't have to be much. A small donation and a share on social media, so others might help, would be a great blessing for me. It will help Change my life.
Thank you for your time and consideration. God bless you and your family.

P.s. Please share with your friends, family and anyone who might want to help.
The pictures that follow are kind of graphic. The only way to show the damage is to show the damage.

Thanks again for you help and giving me the time I need to recover.
