About 40+ years ago our friend Jill met her uterus and they decided to hook up - it was completely genetic.  Like thousands of other women they have been together through some good times (woot!!) and not so good times (boo!!).  UTY (that sounds exactly like it looks YOU TEE - Y is silent) has been kind of on the outs with Jill and after her most recent doctor visit it came to her attention that UTY was cheating on her and frankly Jill is done.  FOLKS it’s TIME for UTY to go.

Who is Jill?  Well Jill is the hard working woman selling super awesome JEWELS at Twist in Pacific Place - working her retail butt off to pay the bills and live on the planet in all her sweetness.  She’s got Roxy the wonder dog and her amazing photographic artistry to fill her sole.  Jill also has Lynch Syndrome.  It is a genetic condition that causes early onset cancer with a 40-80% risk depending upon the body part it chooses.  Ute/Ovarian patients with Lynch have a 40-60% chance of cancer and patients with Lynch can get Colon cancer 80% of the time. Her dad's side of the family carries the genetic code and has been affected for many generations. She lost her dad and grandpa to cancer but her uncle and sister both are cancer survivors and doing well.   We know a lot of friends and family that are also fighting their own fights with different diseases and it's not an easy battle - much love to you all.  Info about Lynch 

Jill’s got health insurance but what she doesn't have is paid sick leave and a safety net to recover from surgery.  Jill’s got friends (and friends of friends) whom I’m asking to donate to this breakup as Jill needs to take 6 weeks unpaid leave to recover  - god knows some of you have taken more time to break up with your favorite TV shows.

Constant monitoring and risk assessments with her doctor allow her to be preemptive before cancer takes over.   Her doctor can no longer access accurately her cancer risk without surgery.  So it's not clear if it’s just UTY or the whole gang including the ovaries and lymph nodes, if she finds cancer/pre-cancer.....

Our goal is to raise $8700 for Jill, which will cover

$6000 in out of pocket medical and pharma expenses that insurance doesn't cover
$1700 in rent
$1000 in expenses
