Ben's Walk To SF For Clean Energy
Donation protected
As a sophomore at Tamalpias High School in Mill Valley, California, I have become very interested in the future of energy use in our world. With the extreme pollution and environmental damage caused by burning non-renewable fossil fuels, a global energy crisis is no longer unimaginable. Some scientists even say we will exhaust our current reserves within only a few generations! This scares me. But a number of visionary chemical engineers at Stanford University are working on finding viable solutions. In an effort to help fund their projects, I am doing a 10 mile walk to the California Academy of Sciences, one of the greenest buildings in the world. My hope is to raise awareness about these pressing issues, and money for these researchers working to address them. This is me trying to do my part, and I hope you will help me out by making a donation.
