BENEFIT
Meet Chris Witwer! Chris is a hard-working son, brother &friend whose passion is motorcycles, both working on them & riding them. Chris, 36 years old, is currently undergoing all the testing necessary to be listed for a kidney transplant. You see, Chris has
spent the better portion of 13 years battling a rare disease called Goodpastures Syndrome.
Goodpastures Syndrome is an autoimmune disorder that affects mainly the kidneys and the lungs. In addition to battling Goodpastures Syndrome, which has left his kidneys functioning at only 8%, Chris has also had two different scares with cancer and recently found out he is again in another battle with a form of skin cancer.
The doctors found asuspicious lump on his left kidney which was surgically removed. A period of time later, the doctors found an enlarged lymph node in his chest which was quickly removed because of Chris’ history of cancer.
So now he waits for a life-saving transplant, which could take upward of 4-8 years on the
waiting list. While he waits Chris spends 8 hours each day hooked up to peritoneal dialysis. He is only
able to work part-time because of the intense symptoms & side-effects that occur with peritoneal
dialysis and End-Stage Renal Failure.
So this is where you come in…
We are graciously reaching out to our local community for monetary support in helping Chris
heal & seek relief from inevitable medical bills & living expenses. We are also accepting donated items to
include in our silent auction. Your generosity is greatly
