3R's Trip to attend summit meeting

Ruth’s Reusable Resources is a free store for teachers. For 21 years 3R’s has been helping Maine and New Hampshire students by transferring more than $54,000,000.00 worth of businesses unwanted new and gently used office & school supplies, furniture, computers, books and more into schools. 3R’s is a long time affiliate of the Kids In Need Foundation. KINF hosts a Summit conference each year for the 32 free stores around the country and is held at different stores. This year the Kids in Need Foundation National Network Summit is taking place June 24-26, in Atlanta Georgia. The KINF Summit is the only one of its kind and run exclusively for free stores (like ours) across the U.S. The Summit is a means of exchanging ideas and information about operating a free store for teachers. It is an arena for exchanging best practices, solving problems, and gaining new insight into the challenges of operating a free store.

This has been a tougher than normal budget year for 3R’s with heating bills and the very large cost of paying for shipping to get the free supplies to Maine. Primarily Ruth goes alone but it is time to pass the torch to other employees.

Ruth’s Reusable Resources is hoping for your help funding for the registration fees, travel, and hotel/food expenses during the conference for 4 people.

Total cost for four people attending the KINF Summit is:   $2,900.00

3R's, mission is to ensure that students and classrooms in have the basic tools for learning, by transferring surplus business supplies and merchandise into the hands of school children through teachers.
