I Wanna Be Great

Helloooo, my name is Jah, and I'm a 21 year old producer/artist from South Florida. 

Today is April 13th 2015. In 2 months I'll be living in England with my grandad in order to "start a real life", according to my parents. 

My story isn't as strange as I thought it was, but its definitely a unique case. 


In 2014, a friend of mine and I decided we would take a slightly different career path than the normal. That being music.

We shared very similar interests and ideas and decided to act out on them. Songs started formulating little by little and eventually our own style and sound started to form.

Knowing our capabilites in music and entertainment were something special we decided to form a duo called "Nobodies". The name expressing how we feel about ourselves, and how we're both just really capable beings, but still regular guys.

With our first duo release called "Credibilty " came massive support from our Florida state. Performing at shows became a regular thing, working with people around our town, out of town, out of state even.  The year flew by now that I think about it. 


We've done shows opening for a lot of really well known artists, but we're still working on ourselves. Mind you, we produce, record, and engineer our own sounds. We write our own music video treatments, put on our own events, and have been coming out of pocket for each and every thing we want/need to get done. 

It's gotten to where not only are we broke, but everything at this point requires much more money than we actually have... After all we're just two 21 year old guys. 

The support we've been receiving is actually so crazy, Its only been a year and some change since then, and I have no idea what we're doing different than anyone else. Its just been working. 


To wrap this sappy story up, my parents feel that I've been wasting my time on this and that it won't last. I personally feel we're close to something big but lack the funds for a real breakthrough. Anyway, I'm getting sent to my grandfather's house in England because I'm "ruining my american life". I want to be able to come back to America in 6 months and change everything. So I'm asking for your help with our breakthrough and level up in this industry.

Funding for music videos
- We lack the funds to put our grand ideas into effect, we’ve done a few videos on a very low budget thus far and we are very proud of what we’ve done however we dream big, plan big, and we’d like to be able to spend big on props and camera equipment

Promotional funding
- Unfortunately the internet is as limited as it is vast, we do not possess the ability to reach some of the places we’d like to and hiring a PR rep would absolutely boost the chances that our content will get placed and viewed in the right places

Jumpstart our merchandise
- Our ideas stretch far beyond just music, we have ideas for a cartoon series in which Jah would o majority of the drawing, we have ideas for clothing which we’ve both taken part of designing, and these are some ways that would help us become self sufficient

Event Planning
- We Put on a lot of events ourselves and they are not only tedious but expensive. One event we are planning soon requires a massive amount of paint, lighting, and other props to provide an interactive and captivating performance while giving the audience something to do and enjoy rather than just watch people rap on a microphone.
