Royal Windsor Rollergirls Skate Marathon

Royal Windsor Rollergirls will be taking part in a Skate Marathon on 18th April 2014 that will take them from the regal town of Windsor to the vibrant City of London, following a historic route.
To help raise funds for their trip to Florida for the Beach Brawl Tournament, that will be taking place a few short weeks from now, a bunch of hardcore girls and boys will be following the route of the very first "˜polytechnic' marathon - the first marathon with the now standard distance of 26 miles and 385 yards. Since this was recorded as starting at Windsor Castle, what could be a better event for a team from that Royal borough! So they will be lacing up and completing the whole distance in true rollergirl style - on 8 wheels. Legs will burn and blisters are sure to be had, but it's all for a good cause - getting them across the pond for their first ever game in the US of A! So please, support the girls by donating anything you can, as roller derby is funded almost purely by the players.
