Rock-It To The Moon: Charity Fundraiser

Rock-It To The Moon was held on July 1st 2014 from 6:00PM to 10:00PM (EDT) at the Scandinavian Athletic Club - 438 Lake St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545-3958. This is a charity project to benefit the dwindling music education programs in public schools. All proceeds will be donated to the Worcester Public Schools Music program in Massachusetts in the fall of 2014, specifically the South High School. Donations would be greatly appreciated. Please help us, this is a great cause!

"This is a locally sponsored charitable event for Worcester Public School’s Music Education. A lot of awesome bands are playing, and it’s just a great time. I’ve been loving all the bands that have played. My favorite was Tuna and the Wongs. Those guys killed it. I had an awesome time jamming out. They played some killer music. All the rest of the bands are awesome." -Chris Palace

And, mind you, this is at like 7:00 in the morning, and we’re all dead tired. He’d play a whole song, and he’d let me play, and then, he’d show me up. "I think that having bands, especially young people like us, play at a benefit like this is a good way to fundraise for music education. None of us would be here if we hadn’t played instruments as kids and has teachers help us. I think it definitely is a good outlet. You can always thrash on a guitar, instead of punching a kid in the face."- Androo Wang

"I am MC-ing with my friend Greg. I’ve known Greg for a long time. We’ve been filming for 6 years, and we’re both into comedy. I saw that Blair posted on Facebook that she needed MCs. I think it’s really awesome. It’s a small venue, and I think the place is perfect. It’s awesome that they’re benefitting the music programs in Worcester. As a musician, I’m very proud of that. I’m glad they’re doing that for the program." - Chris Barry
