Krys Cancer Journey

Krys, Patrick and Family have been through so much in the last few months. Many of you know Krys as family, some as a friend, some as a pagent organizer, some as a Girl Scout leader, some as your photographer, some a care giver, some as a coworker, some as just an acquaintance.

However you know the Robinson Family and Krys, however they have touched your life, they need your help now more than ever!  Medical bills are mounting and treatment is beginning On Oct 29th Krys's Cancer Journey began.

Here in her own words is Krys entry from Nov 30th.

Nov 30th 2020-
Its been a really rough morning, I have been up since 3 and pain meds aren't working. I guess its time to fill everyone in. We wanted to wait until after Thanksgiving to let all our family and friends know whats been going on.

Back in September I wasn't feeling well. I just thought it was my thyroid acting up, but the doctors couldn't figure it out. Towards the end of the October I started having some pain and figured it was kidney stones again. I have had them before and the doctors don't really do much.

October 29th, I woke up in excruciating pain. Pat took me to th ER and they ran tests, bloodwork, CT scan and Ultrasounds. They found a very large mass in my abdomen. Over the next 3 weeks we had more tests, ER and doctor visits, as well as multiple biopsies.

On November 22nd, test results came in as Stage 2 endometrial adenocarcinoma (uterine cancer). I have a few more appointments just to make sure everything will go well, but on Dec.8th I will be having surgery in Rochester at Mayo Clinic. There will be follow-up treatments hopefully closer to home!

Patrick is stressed of course. We will keep everyone up to date on things as we can. It's hard to get on Facebook like I used to or do anything really. I've been off work since October and won't be going back until January at the earliest now.

Dec 11th 2020:
Update: ended up 2 nights in the hospital in Rochester. Things didn't go as planned. The cancer has matastized and spread to my bowels and bladder. Making it stage 4 cancer. Because all three are connected they were unable to remove anything. The bowel specialist stitched up an area he thought was too thin. I'm on a internal catheter to help my bladder. I have 5 incision areas and in a lot of pain. Although I am moving its a slow go. The 3 hour trip was excruciating and I ended up very sick . Next step is visiting oncology back in Rochester on the 17th. In the mean time I'm trying to find something to keep down and get through this part and on to the next. Patrick and Dakota are worried and anxious as expected. We haven't explained much to Cody as he doesn't really understand. Just that I'm sick. The word Cancer freaks him out and he goes into a spiral of acting out but not saying anything. So please don't talk to him about it. That's all for now, will continue to keep you all updated when I can.

Any works of encouragement will help, any donation amount will help as Krys is currently off of work. This fund will help support medical bills, gas back and forth from treatment , food for the Robinson household and to support the family as a whole.
