Dave's Tour Divide Dream

Donation protected
The Tour Divide  is an underground annual mountain bike race. But unlike most traditional races this race is 100% self-supported i.e. I will carry everything I need to complete the race with me on my bike. Another major point of difference is this route is 2,745 miles (4,418kms) and begins in Banff, Alberta and follows the Rockies all the way down to the Mexican Border @ Antelope Wells.
The route is mixture of forgotten unpaved trails and jeep traversing the Rockies 27 times - the equivalent of ascending Everest from sea level 7 times.

To finish this race has been a dream for mine for the last 5-years.  My bicycle has been instrumental in achieving my dreams and defining who I am today. The average day on the Tour Divide will see me riding 18-20 hours covering distances up to 220-miles.

For a lot of people in Africa a bicycle is so much more – it is their access to goods and services, transport to medical help or utility to perform their daily tasks.

I will be raising funds to donate bicycles to the most needy in Africa  - World Bicycle Relief will ensure these bikes get into the hands of the most deserving and in need.

Funds raised will be matched by my employer and donated to World Bicycle Relief.
