Thank you for all your support and good wishes! Katie has made progress and has had a couple of "passes" to leave the hospital for an hour or two. Here she is with her brother, sister, and friends at a Quincy fundraiser yesterday.

SUPPORT KATIE'S RECOVERY

Katie's family will never forget how God intervened to save her life. Katie's family will never forget how the donation you make today will make a difference in her recovery from severe injuries sustained after a violent car crash with a drunk driver on August 4, 2013. Contributors will play an integral part in achieving yet another miracle - getting Katie out of the hospital and helping her complete her physical rehabilitation.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Katie's recovery requires time, patience, and the community's support:

~ Your donation will help Katie's family work towards paying off medical bills and other expenses induced by this life-changing event.

~ Contributors will always be in the thoughts and prayers of Katie's family for the support they showed in a time of need.

~ Contributors will receive mementos representing the miracle of Katie's survival and the fight for a full recovery.

A LITTLE ABOUT KATIE

The 'Mystery' of Father Dowling shook the world. Communities across the country wondered for days who or what the mysterious figure was who prayed at the site of a violent car crash involving Katie Lentz. First responders and witnesses of the events didn't hesitate to call the event "a miracle".

Katie is extremely grateful to be alive after sustaining several life-threatening injuries. Katie, a 19-year-old student, originally from Missouri, hopes to attend Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, this year.

I dont usually comment to comments like this, but for whatever reason, this really spoke to me. God allows us to have freewill. He doesn't want puppets in the world. He wants us to come to him and to love him because we want to, not because we HAVE too. With that being said, God allows people to make mistakes, people to get hurt, people to get sick, and people to die. He doesn't want those things to happen, but it does. We know that our lives will not be easy, but He will always be with us to help us through whatever challenges we face. God was there in the accident.... he was there through the emergency responders AND the priest. Ask God to show himself to you. I'm sure he will if you are willing to have an open mind and heart and SEE his love for YOU.

Why didn't god prevent the accident in the first place? Why did god allow you to get hurt?....could it be there is no god and your survival is due to emergency responders?
