Mongol Derby 2016 Ride for Charity

Why would you want to ride the toughest horse race in the world? Why would you choose to ride 25 different half wild (barely saddle broke) Mongol ponies over more the 600 miles in less then 10 consecutive days...why you ask?
Why not?
This wild ride represents the adventure of a lifetime. A test of will. I see this endeavor as a team effort, not just mine alone. I will be riding on behalf of these three charities which speak directly to something I feel very strongly about... strength through community.
Although they seem to be worlds apart Cool Earth , The Center for Sustainable Community in Raton NM and West County Health Centers share the same foundation...creating a better world by building stronger healthier communities. As a Nurse Practitioner, I have personally seen the impact that strong and healthy communities can make.
My efforts to raise funds for these charties is multi-tiered. The first event is being held by the owners of Rio Crest Winery in Sonoma CA. They have dedicated their Annual Charity Party on April 16th to my Mongolian misfit adventures. If you can make the party, it's an event not to miss. Below you will find levels @ $125 for a single person, $200 for a couple for the party or you can also choose custom for parties of three or more. We will also be holding a second event in May, Riding for Raton, in my hometown of Raton, NM. We will update this page as we finalize all the plans.
