Local Tradesman and Adrenalin Sportsman
Ricky Wood

Our dear friend Ricky
Has suffered a tragic accident on Smithfield Mountain Bike trail on sunday the 12th of July.
Rickys injuries include but are not limited to; three broken vertibraes in his neck; one in many pieces, as well as a broken arm and other fractures to arm.

Ricky has had to undergo extensive surgery in Brisbane hospital and will have to spend what looks like many months in recovery and physical therapy.

As yet we are unsure what the future holds for Rick as it is still only early days. All we can do is hope and pray for his full recovery and offer him our very best support.

Ricky is a 32 year old Roof tiler who has been living and working in the Cairns and Townsville Region since 2006. Adrenalin sports are Rickys pashion and he has been in many Motor Cross compititions throughout the region as well as being a member of the Mareeba Mako go cart track.

We are starting this fundraiser to help Rickys family with the cost of travel and accomadation as well as helping to cover the cost of Rickys medical expenses.
We are unsure how long he will be in Brisbane and it is a very long way for his family to travel to be by his side, which is what he needs most at the moment.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
