Restored Wags// Adoption Awareness

Whoever said that money can't happiness has never paid an adoption fee.  My mission is to enhance the lives of people and their animals in the Flathead Valley in the beautiful state of Montana by promoting pet adoptions and education.


In my senior year of college I made the decision to adopt a scruffy little mess that had been in four different shelters before finally making it to Bozeman, Montana. He had been badly abused and was an "outside only" dog for years which left him with behavioral, health and trust issues. So I took a chance on him,  gave him a bath and new name and fresh start at life. He has overcome so much in the year I have had him and has actually taught me a lot about life. The funny thing about a dog is they have a way of finding the people who need them and fill the emptiness they didn't even realize they had in the first place. When I think about it I still question who actually rescued who. Because of Hagrid I have become a happier and healthier person. 

Here are a few of the cold hard facts as of 2014:

There are over 164 million pet dogs and cats in the United States. Of these, 1 in every 20 will end up in a shelter by the end of the year.

Roughly every 8 seconds, a cat or dog is sent to an animal shelter.

5 out of every 10 dogs sent to an animal shelter will be euthanized.

Each year, between 3-4 million dogs and cats are put to sleep in shelters across the United States.



I want to make a difference and I want to show people in my neck of the woods how easy it is to change these statisics. To give an animal a home is an incredible decision, and one that impacts every aspect of our day-to-day lives from our fitness to our finances. With your help I am hoping to start an organization that uses my graphic design skills to create custom work to sell to fellow cat and dog lovers that raises awareness and donates the profits earned to local shelters.
