Memorial Park Bench for Porter

We truly thank everyone for their support and letting us share Porter's story. Although there are some things in this world we will never understand, we are happy that Porter's story was heard and he will be remembered by so many. This page is for donations towards a memorial bench that will be placed in Kelly Park where he loved to play fetch with his mom and dad. He would jump off the bed every morning so excited and restless to go there. This would be a beautiful way to remember his short, yet wonderful life. Any extra contributions that are not used for the bench will be donated in memory of Porter. Thank you all so much again, your support has truly meant a lot through this difficult time.

For those of you who have not heard his story yet, Porter went to Kelly Park the morning of 8/31 to play fetch with his dad like he always did. Around 6:15 am a 250 lb male shot Porter on his side from 20 feet away killing him. The man was let go later that day because he said he felt threatened and had a license to carry. He was such a loving dog that brought us so much happiness after our Dad died last year. Porter likely wanted to say hi to this man, as he loves greeting people, but dogs are kinder than people and don't know the evil in this world. He was 11 months old and this man ended his life way to early. The lose of their puppy has left Dee and Jay completely broken and this bench will be a way to remember their baby. Thank you.
