Wanda (my car) needs your help! 


I've spent the past three years living with others in intentional community in order to serve alongside and work with non-profit organizations in Houston. My time in Houston has deepend my understanding of community, how to be a good neighbor, and how I can be a part of the work that is happening in the city. After three years, I'm moving to Chicago to continue working for the non-profit and continuing to deepen my commitment to community, faith, and service. This is my first move to a new city "on my own." 

I'm excited to call Chicago home at the end of August and I need your help to make this transition smooth! This is a big step and so I'm hoping to raise funds to help with the initial costs of moving and settling into a new place.

The biggest financial need is for car repairs. With the generous support of friends in Chicago, I've been able to find and purchase a used car (I've named her Wanda...the Honda) which will be used primarily for work. In order for me to safely use Wanda, she needs a little TLC. As you consider donating to this cause, I wanted to be specific how the money I receive will be used!

--  Wanda needs a couple of big repairs like wheel bearings, gasket covers,  ($910).
--  Car registration, title transfer, license fees ($226)
--  The remaining $364 will go in savings towards an emergency car repairs for (road side assitance, replacing wheels, etc.) Wanda.
