Veteran Loses His Home in a Fire

Donation protected
My daddy, US Army veteran,  John Ramsey, lost his home and everything he owns today in a fire.  Thankfully, he made it out safe and for that we will be forever grateful.  As we worked through this traumatic day we have learned that Daddy had let his homeowner's insurance go on his house.  Talking to family and neighbors we realized this is more common than we would have thought.

Realizing our options are limited, my sister, my daughter and I have decided to create this account on his behalf.  He is homeless for the first time in his life and doesn't quite understand all that has happened.  I believe he still thinks he can go "home" and asked my son to take him there  this afternoon.

We need somewhere for him to live that is still in his neighborhood and close enough for us to help him out when need be.  We create this account with some hesitation for we are a family who hasn't asked for help in the past and find it somewhat humbling.  Of course, that can be a good thing at times.

We thank each of you in advance for anything you choose to do. Whether it be a donation, a comment or a prayer we appreciate it all and each of you.
