Raising money for Jemma Boyd - Cancer Council

Jemma Boyd was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 at the age of 25 years old. Over the years it has affected her personal and work life, to the extent of her not being able to work currently. Her position as a nurse is at a standstill, and from once helping others, she now needs your help.
Jemma has organised a Relay for Life team, named Team Ohana. The Relay for Life Australia is a celebration of cancer survivors, carers, and their families and friends; bringing communities together at Relay's across Australia almost every weekend of the year. Every year they participate and aim to raise as much money as possible for the Cancer Council. Cancer Council Australia is a national, NFP organisation which aims to promote cancer-control policies and to reduce the illness caused by cancer in Australia.
On Sunday April 7, the team at Arteq host a FREE event at The Third Day at 290 Macaulay Road, North Melbourne. From 12.00pm – 7.00pm, Arteq will host an array of important and fun things.
We will be setting up a Cancer Council charity station at the event, where you will be able to educate yourself on cancer, the Cancer Council and Jemma’s story. You’ll also be able to donate to the cause. There will be tins set up at the bar and around the venue too.
An art exhibit will be set up, featuring 7 artists works; alongside a street artist doing live paint and graffiti. Combine this with some beautiful house music, a food truck and some drinks; and we are set for a fun day with mates. This event is also family friendly, so bring your parents – or your kids.
