Radars Surgery Fees

The last two days have been very hard on Radar and I. Friday started off as a very mundane, normal beautiful day in Florida. I got off my PA school rotation early and I decided to run some errands with Radar. On the way home I brought him to the dog park. I didn't bring any toys so I decided to throw him a stick, which is a normal everyday thing to do. On our last throw, Radar and the stick collided and the stick impaled into Radars chest. I rushed him to the ER with the help of many people at the park. The vets at the ER told me that he needed emergent surgery and that we were very lucky. The stick (about 2 inches in diameter) was about 6 to 8 inches inside of him. The stick missed all his vital organs and they were hopeful that he would sustain no life long complications.
Radar came home today safe and sound. The surgery cost us about $3,000. I am a Physician Assistant Student and my income comes in solely from my loans so funds are limited. I would appreciate any help in paying for his surgery. Thank you very much
And please learn from our freak accident and do not throw your dogs any sticks.
