Nita van Pelt's Retirement Sendoff

Dear friends,
As many have already heard, beloved orchestra conductor Nita Van Pelt will be retiring after 30 years of service to the Lake Oswego School District.

The Lake Oswego string program has grown to over 300 students, elementary to 12th grade. Her belief that every player makes an important contribution to the orchestra, has truly instilled in her students a love of music.

Many alums, peers and other friends of Nita have gathered to make her send off truly memorable!

Here's our gift idea: there are two bronze stars embedded in tile outside the Lakeridge High School auditorium dedicated to two other retired teachers of the high school--We'd like to have one made for Ms. van Pelt! Sadly, it's around $2,000. Anything you contribute will make a huge difference!
