The Alpha Connection Blue Ribbon Campaign
Child abuse is more than bruises and broken bones. While physical abuse might be the most visible, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse, neglect, and abandonment also leave deep, lasting scars. The earlier these children get help, the greater chance they have to heal and break the cycle.
Nestled in a small town in the High Desert of California, Alpha Connection Youth and Family Services is a non-profit organization that provides both residential and foster care services for the abused, neglected, homeless and abandoned children of the State of California. April has been designated National Child Abuse Prevention Month for over 20 years; whereas, May represents National Foster Care Month. Alpha Connection Youth & Family Services has represented child advocacy for those that have been abandoned for nearly 27 years and continue to support the abused and neglected despite the challenges and obstacles that arise day-to-day.
Alpha Connection provides the everyday basics necessary to survive. Due to the International Affairs, Wars, Economic problems, and societal hardships donations to our children have drastically decreased by 75%. In a world where these children have experienced being left behind, lack the guidance and support of their parents and/or family, and suffer from long-term medical conditions; supplying these children with simple necessities including: food, clothing, shoes, bedding, hygiene, medical assistance, medication, transportation, and shelter; the Alpha Connection Blue Ribbon Campaign fights to provide the only stability, structure, and happiness these children may encounter.
“The most precious thing that we as humanity hold, is the innocence in that of a child's smile, and we have a moral obligation to preserve it.” In lieu of National Child Abuse Prevention and National Foster Care Month please consider this two month campaign to reach our goal of $50,000; bridging our shortfall and attempting to enrich the lives of children in need. Any and all donations will be used to preserve the smiles of those left behind and will make a huge difference within a child’s life.
