Questing for a New Shire

Donation protected
You join our tale of three heros - along with their trusty, mustache-wearing companion - as they go about their lives: the barbarian has found his calling, taming wild beasts for others to use; the rogue, busily working behind the scenes to watch over the shiny loot to make sure things run as needed; the bard... pardon me... princess, ninja, blacksmith bard doing her own thing and busy with her multiple apprenticeships.

But wait! What is this? A quest?! The decree is set forth - aquire a new domicile in a month's time. Oh yes... and you must start this quest with nary a pence.

How can this be?! The rogue is confused! She has carefully and dutifully (albeit reluctantly, she is a rogue!) paid what is owed. Nothing is amiss, but this quest is manditory. The barbarian scratches at his stubble as the rogue carefully pours over their inventory - this will be one difficult quest.

Hi. My name is Laura. I guess you could call me the rogue in this tale. I'll start where this started - about a week or so ago. We currently rent a home really close to our work. We love it here. We have rented for a little more than 2 years and were going to happily sign another lease coming up this May 22nd when it came due. Only thing is, the homeowner decided he no longer wishes to be a landlord. We've been great tenants - never late on rent, keep up with the place, make repairs if needed if we are able to do it ourselves, etc - he just wishes to no longer be a landlord and wants the property sold.

We were never given much heads up about this. We received a call with a "I'm thinking about it" from the landlord and then just yesterday issued a "it's sold, this is your 30 day's notification to be out by the end of your lease."

No negotiations. We're not able to wait another month when people will be moving out at the end of school so we'll have options. No ability to wait for the end of our kid's school year. Pick up. Move out.

Here's the other part - we're a starting out family. We've been dealt blows that have rocked us hard - from job loss to major illness - and we've persevered through each and every one of them. We were getting so excited because this home had let us start seeing the surface of the water, this next year we were looking forward to actually getting ahead. The saying "living paycheck to paycheck" is quite applicable here. Today we were told any "incentive" for us to get going won't be coming until after we've moved... and we're not in any positing to argue because the lease will be up soon so they can simply wait us out while we can't simply hurry our paychecks.

So how can we move if we don't have the funds? That's why we've put this up in hopes of a miracle. They say you can't receive if you don't ask. So I'm asking. We're putting everything we can into raising what we can on our own but we would very much welcome any help we can get.

Please consider funding if you know how it is being given the raw end of a deal or if you have ever had to stay strong in front of your children so the only worries they have to face is not being able to find where they put their favorite toy.

Thank you for your time, understanding, and donations. If you can't donate, please at least share - it would make a princess, ninja, blacksmith bard very happy to know she can continue her multiple apprenticeships at the school she loves.
