We are two girls from Chicago starting our own foster based rescue. Our goal is to help rescue animals locally and also from Kentucky. We have made contacts and our first transport is happening May 16th. We hoping to transport roughly 10-15 dogs and puppies from Kentucky during this time. The purpose of this gofundme is to help raise funds for this trip and veterinary costs that will occurr for the treatment of these animals.
These funds will help pay for a car to transport the animals from Kentucky back to Chicago. Most animals that are pulled from the kill shelter are not vaccinated or fixed. They will receive medical treatment, vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered during the “hold” period at our vet. This period also helps ensure that the animals that came from these shelters have not been exposed to any diseases such as parvo or kennel cough. The medical aspect to this does really add up.
On top of what it will cost to transport and provide medical treatment to these dogs we also need supplies to maintain and care for these animals in our care.
We are in need of transport kennels, leashes, collars, dog food, puppy pads, towels and other items that if cannot be donated, must be purchased.
Please help us reach and surpass our goal of a $1000. The more raised, the more good we can do for these guys that otherwise would have been euthanized.
