The Sturtevant Police K9 is asking for your help starting a K9 Unit!
The start of our K9 unit is a big endeavor. Average start-up costs range from $15,000 to $25,000. The Police K9 is an investment as they are usually able to work up to 8 years before retiring. The initial funds are needed to pay for the dog and training as well as the police squad outfitting. Additional funds will go for food, training aids, collars and leashes. Remaining and future funds will be used to maintain and expand the K9 Unit.
