Matt hasn't had an easy life - a serious accident when he was young has had life long effects. Recently he, and the tiny space he calls home, have been targetted by a local gang of kids. They have wrecked his home inside & out.
Matt was left without doors or windows, without safe power or sanitation. His bed was broken and blankets and mattress soaked with cola. Because he didn't make a fuss no-one was helping him.
Matt used every last penny repairing the damage until he had nothing left, when the damage wasn't repaired neigbours investigated and his story emerged.
A small group of neighbours are trying to make sure Matt's space is made safe and secure. Initially they thought they just needed to fix up the windows - but once they got there a much bigger nightmare unfolded.
Matt used to live in the house which his tiny space is attached to, it seems that this is still occupied by a relative who has declined to get involved with helping Matt. This is a seperate issue we are trying to fix, but that means we can't really talk about it here.
To be liveable Matt's home needs a complete rebuild - but the small team of helpers aren't giving up!
They are determined to show Matt that not everyone will walk past and ignore him in his hour of need. They are there for the long haul and have plenty of energy and detemination but they are all just normal people and need your help to pay for the things only money can buy.
Please show Matt that he isn't alone and that there are more good people than bad out there in the world.
