Hello,
My name is Alicia and I have this crazy dream of becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher.
Let me give you a bit of my background as to how I realized this dream.
A few years ago while attending college in Orange County, I took my first ever yoga class. At first, I did not fall deeply in love with the practice and I only continued my practice occasionally. It wasn't until I moved to San Diego in 2014 that I had caught the yoga bug. I was hooked. I signed up for unlimited hot yoga sessions in the middle of summer. I couldn't stop. I loved how it made me feel. I felt energized and refreshed. I craved green juice and sunshine. I was extremely stress-free and cherished life.
Then, just a couple months later after the move, my life changed forever. My grandma's health rapidly declined and within 1 month she had earned her angel wings. To this day, it has been the hardest and most painful event I've had to endure. My physical yoga practice became sporadic, but I maintained the spiritual aspect.
It's now August 2015 and I've made pecae with my past. I owe everything to what my yoga practice has taught me. Of course I wouldn't be where I am today without the help of my friends and family, but my practice helped immensely. My teachers guided me through various flows and it those hours of sequencing and breathing, I thrived.
I healed myself.
I want to be able to share with the world what yoga can do; how it transforms you and frees your soul.
In order for me to accomplish this, I need to be a Registered Yoga Teacher. By going to yogi school, I'll delve deeper into my practice. Then, I'll be able to hopefully make a difference in people's lives.
I wish Yoga Teacher Training was as free as it makes you feel; however it's not. In fact, it's quite expensive! So, I'm asking you for help. By investing in me, you'll be investing in a brighter, more peaceful future.
