Chewbecca's roar for help!!!

Donation protected
Chewbecca (Becca for short) is a shepherd mix who was rescued from Nogales, AZ as a feral dog. She was 5 months old when she was caught in a dog trap and was set to be euthanized on February 3rd, 2015 due to being 'feral and unadoptable'. In her last hours, a wonderful group of people came together to stand up for her and succeeded in saving her. She was then brought to Tucson, AZ to live with her foster mom.  It was there she met Robby (A year old Chihuahua) and they fell in love. Robby taught her how to be a good dog and how to open up and trust. A few short weeks later Becca went in for her spay. This was her first time out of her foster home and she did AMAZING!!!! She has never shown any aggression and is such a quiet puppy. In her foster home she has learned to get along with dogs (of all sizes), cats (handicapped ones!), and kids (ages 1 to 13)! She is house trained and perfect in a kennel! Becca's foster mom then got news that the rescue she was fostering Robby through will also sponser Becca and strive to get them adopted together!! Things were looking up for Becca and she was a whole new dog.

On March 17th Becca's foster mom noticed that she was having muscle spasms in her back right leg. It was thought that she wrestled with Robby too much and had a minor injury. A few days later Becca wasn't getting better and went in to see the vet. The vet tested for distemper and put her on an anti-anxiety and a pain reliever which seem to have no effect. Five very, very, very long days later the test results came back negative for distemper and it is recommended for her to see a neurologist. It is very expensive to see a neurologist and we need help raising the money so this beautiful puppy and continue to enjoy life. Becca is currenly uncomfortable due to the continuous muscle spasms in both back legs and is unable to properly walk or even sleep at night. It is heart breaking seeing her lose control and fall, as well as hearing her whine throughout the night. She is still eating, drinking, and playing with her best friend Robby and wants so badly to be pain free and live. She's already a miracle, going from feral to star pupil, and two months past her kill date. Please share her story so that she can have a second, no, third chance at life!

Becca is being fostered through Big Heads, Bigger Hearts Rescue. Her and Robby are also still in search of their forever home.
