Sully's Study in Spain

Hello people of the internet / friends / family / kind souls,

I just got a passport and turned in all the necessary paperwork to study abroad next spring. I am on my way to Spain! But I need some help. If you know me, then you may also know how much I love school. I am attending an amazing liberal arts college in Portland that is encouraging me to pursue all of my academic interests (challenge accepted!), so of course I am working on two majors and a minor. I also work part-time and apply for scholarships, but paying for school myself is still incredibly difficult. And understandably, studying abroad will be even more expensive. As a requirement for one of my majors, I will get to stay with a host family, attend the University of Alicante, and be immersed in Spanish culture for a whole semester. However, the added cost of studying overseas has made my financial situation almost impossible. So here I am, telling each of you about the biggest, most marvelous thing I've ever wanted to do and hoping that you'll perceive the sincerity that I'm launching into the interwebs. I understand that many of you are also in my shoes, and unable to donate very much, if anything. That's okay. I genuinely mean it when I say that anything helps. Dollars help. I've posted a fairly ambitious goal ($9000) because that is the cost of the program fee for the overseas trip plus GoFundMe's service charge. It would be absolutely beautiful if you helped me raise that much. I am very excited about my studies at Lewis and Clark and in Spain, and I'm so very fortunate to be where I am right now. I'm studying exactly what I want to study! Thank you for giving what you can, big or small. It's all important.
