BCMS Girls Softball Equipment

Hi,
We are the Battle Creek Middle School Girls Softball team.  There are 16 of us total and a pretty fabulous coach. We are comprised of 6th-8th grade students of all ethnicities.  Our school is in the heart of the East Side of St. Paul, Minnesota.  We are scholars at a Title 1 School where 98% of us are on reduced and free lunch and over 50% of our population's first language is not English. 

But we love softball!!!

We really want to be competitive against the other teams in our school district. Unfortunately we were left with some less than desirable equipment.  Most of our catcher’s gear is missing straps and wont stay on our legs, our helmets (if the cages have not broken off) have foam that is falling out in large chunks.  Our bats have dents and need grip tape; we could also use some training bats and balls.  Our catcher’s mitt has webbing that is falling apart (try catching something with that glove).

As many of us are new to the game we could really use some tee's and pitch return nets.  We currently have one tee, but it is cracked at the base and leans at about a 30 degree angle (our math teacher would be proud of us for knowing that).  

What we would spend our money that we receive on is:
3 tees
2 catchers mitts (lefty and a righty)
2 pitch returns
5 batting helmets with cages
4 new fast pitch bats (not old baseball bats)
2 cases of whiffle balls
4 whiffle bats
5 extra gloves
a set of functioning and decent catcher's gear
5 reaction balls
1 bat caddy
3 new equipment bags

We have our first game on April 16th.  It would be AMAZING if we could have some new equipment to work with so that we have a fighting chance!
