Help Ryan march 7th Regiment DBC

Hello there, I'm Ryan Plourde and I'm a freshman over at Southern Connecticut State University. I'm currently studying Special Education, Music and History. Over the last four years I participated in Naugatuck High School's drumline and in their winter percussion program. It was during these four years that I was able to experience the amazing art/sport of Drum Corps. Now as my first year in college comes to an end (couple weeks..) I have an amazing oportunity presented to me. I have the chance to perform with 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, a corps out of New London, Connecticut. Here's my story of how it happened.
Back in November of 2014 I, along with some friends, went to the 7th Regiment interest camp for a few hours on a Sunday, it was there that I spent a few hours with the other people who were wanting to try out for pit and after the camp ended I felt, well miserable. My skills weren't anything close to everyone else's so in December when their audition camp started I chickened out and didn't go and watched as one of my best friends, Cortney, went and made it. Fast forward to about last Thursday I heard, from Cortney, that there was synth spots open so I did what any non-sane person who has no experience with synth would do and emailed inquiring about the spot. This morning I recieved an email from the front ensemble coordinator telling me how with my, lack of, experience I could try to do the synth, or I could try to do rack which is a combination of various percussion instruments, including the chimes and glock. I agreed to do it, and now I'm hoping to be at the April camp for 7th Regiment.
My problem
I am in the same position as many other, literally thousands, of college students who are both unemployed and poor and rely on whatever loans/financial aid they can get and help from my amazing parents. That is why I started up this Gofundme page, with everyone who donate's help, you all can help me get one step closing to spending a summer with an amazing group of men and women.
Any bit will help, even if you can only donate a dollar, that means I'll have a dollar more than I had before. Please share this page and help me reach my goal so I can march 7th Regiment this summer.
For the overall goal of my campaign I set it to how high the tour fee is, which is $1,600 but I'll be doing my best to also raise money offline to help hit this goal as well and if I say get some money offline and not on here, I'll see about lowering the overall goal to reflect what I've collected offline. (IE if I get 10$ offline I change the overall goal to 1,590, etc.)
