Pvt Walter Hurd

Private Walter Hurd was in the 82nd Airborne Division and parachuted onto Normandy Beach on June 6, 1944 D-Day.  He spent a great deal of his time mostly behind enemy lines and survived.  Wally is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2076 in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania and is currently 94 years old.  Wally is planning to return to Normandy Beach in France in June 2019 for the 75th anniversary of the American invasion which was instrumental in ending World War II.  A fellow veteran and Post #2076 member, Robert Lott has volunteered to accompany Wally to France to assist him in his mission to revisit this memorable accomplishment.  Although quite spry for a man his age, it certainly would be helpful to travel with someone on which he could rely on if needed.
Final payment for this adventure is due by February 19, 2019.
