Leecy's Lyme Treatment

We have created this FundMe page to help raise money for Alyce as most know her as Leecy and her chronic Lyme disease treatment. Even if its only $1 every little bit helps and we appreciate it very much from our heart to yours! Please read a brief synopsis of her journey below.
Several years ago she was a vibrant, energetic, dance and swim loving spirit with good grades. Her spirit has been silenced over the last several years due to a variety of things going on but in large part due to a diagnosis of Tourettes. We believed that there was more to this story aside from only Tourettes as she has not been responding to the medications prescribed. She was exposed to Lyme disease in 2010 and we felt there may be a connection based on her symptoms. She suffers motor and vocal tics, her grades suffered, her stress levels are at an all time high, she has trouble sleeping, and has a variety of other neurological symptoms. We felt this could be due to her exposure to Lyme disease. Through hours of research, we requested that her doctor run a series of tests for Lyme. She has recently tested positive for exposure and the presence of Lyme in her system. We have found through our research that she needs to treat with a Lyme Literate Doctor as the Centers for Disease Control says that Lyme cannot be chronic and does not recur or lie dormant in one's body. We have found only two doctors that seem open to this diagnosis and are willing to treat her. Her treatment will not be a short process because this has gone untreated for several years. The problem we are experiencing is that because the CDC does not believe in this, the doctors that treat this condition that we have found do not take our insurance. They will only accept cash for her treatment and it very costly.
