Nov 1st - Update: The puppies have left Bulgaria and are on their way to Toronto today!!!
We didn't quite make our fundraising goal but your help in donations and spreading the word have been a big help in making this a reality. A BIG THANK YOU!
Here is their story: Dani and Moni were two orphaned puppies rescued from the streets in Bulgaria, their mother killed by a car.
Diana, a volunteer with Haven of the Heart who was visiting family at the time, managed to rescue them off to safety and temporary boarding them at a local veterinarian clinic in Varna.
Unfortunately there is very few support for adoption in the area and the sad reality is that if they are not placed by October, they will be thrown back into the streets.
Back in Canada, Diana is left heartbroken having to leave them behind. Time is running out. The puppies are trapped in a kennel with nowhere to go.
Ursula Hart, the founder of Haven of the Heart , is making all efforts to support Diana. She suggests that "if destiny intends for these two puppies to be under Diana's care, then we should all help to make it happen!"
On behalf of Haven of the Heart , the money raised in this campaign will secure the cost of the transport of this precious furry cargo to Canada.
