Medical Mission to Vietnam

As I complete my first year of medical school, I have been researching opportunities to apply my knowledge, time and support to those in need. This summer I have the incredible opportunity to be a part of a medical mission trip to Vietnam for 10 days. Myself, and several dedicated and compassionate collegues are part of the WesternU Medical School global health organization and will be working in conjunction with the Aid to Children Without Parents non-profit organization. We plan to travel to small villages in rural Vietnam and set up mobile health clinics. These clinics will consist of a variety of health care professionals including physicians, nurses, dentists, and pharmacists to provide a wide array of basic medical care. Additionally we have the privilege to provide compassion, love, and care for those who have so little. 

We believe everyone in this world should have their basic health care needs met. Not only that, I believe my time is always best spent when helping those less fortunate, especially those who are simply innocent victims of circumstance.

The mission of our medical team is to help povery stricken families who are simply trying to survive and enjoy life but lack acccess to basic health care.  Your support and contributions help make this dream possible; to bring people together, to share compassion, humility, and to love and to help others.

We are personally fund raising for the cost of medical supplies and equipment needed as well as airfare and basic lodging. Here is the breakdown of funds we are each attempting to raise:

Flights- $1100- $1200
Room/Board/Food- $500 
Medical supplies/cost to run clinic- $500
