Please, our group desperately needs a heating system to keep our 501(c) (3) non-profit Model Trains Station going during the cold season. We are a tenant at the Taylors Mill revitalization effort in Taylors, S.C. and are an all-volunteer organization that relies on donations and admission fees to restore a section of an old bleachery into a family oriented fun filled educational experience.
We recently opened in December 2017 and our project is still underway. Due to no heat last winter it got down to 39 degrees inside the building during January. Space heaters are not allowed. The kids play area was too cold and without a heat source available in the near future; we cannot expect many visitors in that type of environment.
All of our admission fees are used to pay rent, utilities, upkeep, and future improvements. Our cost share of a heating system is an added expense that we cannot afford at this time. Due to the nature of the old style open area of the mill, we need a radiant heating system similar to the systems used at car dealer work bays and aircraft hangars. Gas lines also have to be run from outside the building.
