This campaign is named after a great friend of mine who I lost to suicide August 15, 2011. Since then he has at least crossed my mind at least once a day often following with questions of why, grief, guilt, sadness, and anger. Over the past few years I've became more and more aware that although there are many prevention sources like hotlines and websites, there seems to be a lack of after it happens.

The CDC  states "Suicide is the third leading cause of death among persons aged 15-24 years, the second among persons aged 25-34 years, the fourth among person aged 35-54 years, and the eighth among person 55-64 years." 

This leaves a lot of people behind this group is known as suicide survivors. The already established stigma of not talking about suicide doesn't help for those family and friends after who need help. 

I'm trying to start a non-profit that focuses on suicide survivors. To bring help to them in whatever way possible. To establish support groups, help them grieve, and work through emotions of anger, guilt, sadness, etc. As well as, in the future I hope to offer help for any expenses they may have as a result. The main goal is to help with coping and understanding of the situation. 

But it's expensive to get something like this started. There are a lot of costs to file various forms to get the non-profit status established, getting a website, advertising to gain more support, and things of the like. 

So please help me in starting something that can help so many people.
