Project Moon Child

Hi, my name is Arelia and I'm fundraising for a creative art and storytelling journey across black and indigenous Oklahoma. This is the story of us, a creative retelling of Oklahoma's black and indigenous histories and legacies through fantasy, culture, personal experiences, magic, and beliefs.
The storytelling works will come in the form of several developing reading series and art projects on The Aurelian Arts website. References from Oklahoma's historical black towns and indigenous communities, the people who presided there, and the sequences of events are the driver behind the creation of the series through use of land and dream scapes.
The Aurelian Arts is the primary website for the stories and the art projects that will span across the development of the series. The collective series is called The Flowers of Sun and Moon. Nothing further will be addressed on the series at this time. On the website will be transparency regarding personal experiences and interactions in this creative space.
This project will require extensive research of Oklahoma's black and indigenous towns and communities, collaborating with key persons and communities on legacies, cultures, and languages, and traveling to key locations for artistic references and/or creative re-creations of towns and landscapes.
I invite you to visit The Aurelian Arts site, give your input, and join me on a journey across time. If you can donate toward the initial funding for this project, donate what you can. If you cannot, share this with people who you think will be interested.
