Friends, Family, Acquaintances, and Strangers; thank you so much for taking the time to read about my life and offer support. Whether it be a hug, a supportive comment, or a kind donation.
When I was born I was biologically female. My birth name was Natalia Marie, and I was super adorable. My parents always supported me in the things that I wanted to do, and always made sure I knew I was loved. When I was in 7th grade I had no fear telling my mom I preferred women over men. I had this weird feeling of uncomfortableness that seemed to loom over me. I never felt confident or at ease. This caused a lot of anger and I ended up lashing out at people. In other words I became a serious ass. When I was a sophomore in high school I looked into Buddhism with a friend and learned to accept myself and gained the confidence to pursue who I was meant to be. Vincent Nathaniel. My freshmen year of college went horrible, but I learned so many things. I failed 3/5 classes and found out I was never meant to be an engineer, but that art was my true calling. I learned I was most comfortable as a male, and that true friends will always stick around.
I have been on testosterone for 3 years now, and I have never felt better!
Except one small fact. I wear a chest binder that is extremely uncomfortable so that I can appear the way my brain envisions me. After three years of binding I have permanently altered my body. Where the binder rests has pushed two of my ribs inwards slightly. Its not dangerous but it is cause for concern. But there is a way for me to be freed from this binder, and the reason I am telling you this today.
May 19th 2015 I will have a double mastectomy to remove the breast tissue from my chest. I am asking for donations to help with the surgery. Please only donate if you have anything to spare, if you don't I would love words of encouragement!
Starbucks Health Insurance is covering 60% of my surgery! It was going to be $8,000 but now I only need to raise around $3,000. Any extra money will help with my living expenses while I'm out of work. If I can raise even more money, I would love to donate to one of my friends who is raising money for the same cause.
Thank you all for reading. And also thank you everyone for the overwhelmingly positive responses I've gotten already! If anyone has any questions about my life, or about being Trans* please message me and I will be happy to answer!
