Hey Y'all,
My name is Jazzy, I'm a 22 year old trans womyn. Since starting this wild journey of transitioning almost three years ago at 19 I have tried to achieve all my transition goals alone - But I have come to realize that I need help from the wider community to attain this final need.
Some Background
My life has been consumed working every crappy job I can to raise money for my surgery all while living out of my car. I have saved $10,000 which is half of my goal- and although I'm greatful I'm also exhausted and only half done. With encouragement from a few dear friends, I have swallowed my pride and I'm going to try and tap into this crowd sourcing option.
Why Genital Reassignment Surgery?
For my whole life, and especially the past 3 years, I've tried so hard to feel connected, present, and rooted in my body. After a lifetime of being told what male and female bodies look like I've been unable to overcome this and relate my body to femininity as it is. No matter how far I've gotten in healing the dysphoria I feel I always end up triggered to some degree by my genitals. Ultimately, I wish that no womyn were ever taught that our bodies could only be feminine in such limiting ways. Without being able to undo the damage done though, I wish to heal this disconnect in the best way I can.
My Life Since Transition
Since coming out I've spent a lot of time learning about myself, working to understand where I fit into the world and how to navigate through it.
