Dear Friends of Veterans,
Since 1919, the members of Merritt Lamb Post have served the Rockford community in many ways, always eager to assist and serve where there was a need. Now, with a heavy heart, we must ask our community for help. Currently, the funds raised from membership dues, the bar/lounge, and rentals is not enough to cover the expenses required to sustain the building and continue providing services to veterans and the community.
The Post’s Rockford Park Drive location is home to the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and Auxiliary American Legion members, all committed to providing services to local and visiting veterans, their families and our community.
Since its inception, the Post has provided thousands of dollars and man hours in support of the Grand Rapids Veteran’s Home, local veterans and to other veteran causes.
We provide a place were Veterans may meet other Veterans who have the same experiences. Where Veterans feel comfortable and understood. We have information that the Veterans can ask for. We are the connection they need.
We are asking for your help in reaching our goal of $600,000 so that we may keep our doors open and continue to serve others.
Your donation will be used to pay down our mortgage and other bills so that we may better serve our area veterans and their families.
