Poland Drive

This organization is about being selfless with your love. It is about sharing that love, caring for those who have no one else to do so and acting as parents, brothers and sisters to many orphaned Polish children. These children have been torn away from their families due to various reasons and brought to an orphanage in Kołaczkowo near Poznań, Poland; Where this organisation has been reshaping the childrens lives. With the raised money, the Poland Drive Group travels to Kołaczkowo twice a year to visit these children in the care home. The purpose of this endeavour is to give these children the maximum amount of support we can afford and give them the experience of a family. During the week of the visit, the orphans are showered with affection and are loved wholeheartedly. Over the years visiting the orphanage, we as a organisation have changed, from a helping outside party to becoming part of a huge family that reunites twice annually. Leaving is the most difficult of all, as the two weeks per year are just too little time. Over these days, the visitting children and adults as well as those from the orphanage, grow close and form new friendships. The bond between us all has grown stronger and although we are often apart, the connection perseveres.

We are more than just an organization: We are family.

The money that will be hopefully raised will go to the orphanage entirely. We hope to renovate and create a better living environment for the children, as well as a healthy lifestyle. In the future, we hope to enlarge the care home for more kids to join. In five years time, 2020, a new law in Poland will be introduced that states that only 14 children may live in a single care home like this one. Our support group would like to renovate a building near the original orphanage to provide more beds and homes for those who do not have one.
