Please help save Angela’s life, we need £100,000 for pioneering immunotherapy in Germany

For Angela Tattersall, a 50-year-old wife, mother to 2 sons and nana to 5 grandchildren, life literally stopped in its tracks as what she thought was a simple case of sciatica turned out to be a metastatic endometrial carcinoma (cancer  of the lining of the womb). After spending 8 weeks in The Christie Hospital, Angela was given 10 months to live. Over the past three and a half years she has bravely undergone radiotherapy, surgery and palliative chemotherapy and is still deteriorating as the disease has progressed to her bladder, pelvis, neck and spine. The tumours in her pelvis have left her with limited mobility in her left leg which has meant she has had to learn to walk again.

Angela has and still does make an impact on so many lives, she is an inspiration and adored by her husband, sons and grandchildren. Throughout, she has remained positive and although she has many down days due to pain and side effects of chemotherapy she is a volunteer mentor for other patients who have been diagnosed with advanced cancer.

There are no other treatment options that can save her life in the UK. Angela has fought long and hard to try and help her situation by trying various alternative therapies and treatments but to no avail. After a great deal of research the family have identified a clinic in Germany which offers pioneering immunotherapy. This is a new treatment with huge success rates, putting many patients (even with terminal diagnosis) into complete remission. This is Angela’s only hope of survival as she is now facing a life of chemotherapy until her body experiences intolerable toxicity, she consents to the withdrawal of treatment or death.

Angela had a successful, professional career in research which recently ended due to redundancy and has no means of self-funding. Therefore, we need to raise £100,000 for Angela to access the treatment on offer in Germany. This money will cover biopsy analysis, targeted immunotherapy treatment, as well as travel and accommodation so that Rob, her devoted husband, can be by her side whilst she receives treatment.

Please help us to save Angela’s life, find it in your heart to donate, we don’t want to leave it until it’s too late and she is too poorly to travel. We will also be holding our own events to raise money for this special cause.

‘My mum has worked hard all her life even completing a PhD whilst working full time and being a wonderful mum to me and my brother. We don’t want to lose our mum she is the lynch pin of our family. She has never asked for any help for anything, but now we are in a desperate situation so we are pleading with you to donate what you can. Your  donation will give us hope in our darkest days’
