Love, Compassion, and Voice!

Progressive Interfaith Alliance was concieved on March 31, 2010 with a meeting at Orange Coast UU Church  of progressive community leaders representing over 28 local community organizations.

Since 2010, a dedicated network of community leaders and clergy have developed PIA, into an organization that represents and supports Women, Labor, Queer, and Youth Rights, as well as, supported HIV/AIDS education, promoted interfaith dialogue and combated Islamophobia. 

Over these last 6 years we have:
- held interfaith worship services for Marriage Equality,
- participated in Labor Rallys at Disney  and the University of  California,
- presented workshops at OC Pride,
- walked with AIDS Services Foundation,
- supported Women's health funding with Planned Parenthood,
- stood against Islamophobia with the Irvine 11,
- led a coalition to support Faith Education Act  in support of education and curriculum for LGBTQ+ and disabled youth in Orange County, CA., 
- awarded 2011 OCEC  Interfaith Partner of the Year,
-We have grown from a community of 20 local leaders to over a membership of over 400 nationwide.

We have done all this with minimal requests for financial support.  In order to continue and grow our community efforts we need your support!
