My name is Christy Hopper. My dear friend Martina Gutierrez's youngest daughter was tragically killed as a result of a hit and run accident in South East Austin, Texas on Thursday the 19th of March 2015. The driver left the scene and no one has been charged; neither has anyone come forth with any information as to who may have done this.
Julissa was a bright, 15 year old young lady with a warm infectious smile, and was loved by so very many people. She attended high school in Central Texas and was on her Spring Break during the time of her accident.
Martina's family's loss is further compounded by the costs of burying their youngest daughter; a price that they can neither bear to think about, nor afford on their own.
I started this fundraiser in effort to help my dear friends who are utterly devastated- not only by the tragedy that has befallen them and prematurely ended their daughter's life, but also the looming pressure of what it will cost them to lay their littlest one to rest.
My deepest and most heartfelt thanks in advance for any contributions to this lovely, amazing young lady's family- they cannot do this alone!!
It is my belief that when one loses a child,, the whole world is at a loss as well.
