Adam's 13 Year Perfect Attendance

My name is Adam Werbin, and I am a graduating senior from Cooper City High School in Broward County, Florida. The reason I am here, is because I am having the rug pulled out from under me by my school board. I have had perfect attendance since kindergarten. There will be an awards ceremony in a couple of weeks, but I just found out that I will not be receiving the award, honors scholarships, and gifts that are being awarded for this accomplishment. You might ask why. The school board has decided to not award me, simply me because I previously attended a private school. They say that their "filter" disqualifies me. My attendance record is not in dispute. I have transcripts from a fully accredited private school, which is in the same county. I have had community leaders reach out to the board. Educators, politicians, and administrators have all spoken out on my behalf. Everybody is in agreement that I am being wronged, and that a terrible injustice is taking place. Even so, the school board is sticking to their guns because, quite frankly, that is easier than admitting that there is a flaw in their system. 

Any money that I raise here will be taking the place of the scholarships that I am being cheated out of. All of this money will go towards tuition, housing, and books at the University of Central Florida, where I will be starting in the summer.

I hope you see the dedication I have put forth in achieving this milestone and feel that it is worthy of a donation towards my education.
