Talkeetna Recycling Works

Talkeetna Recycling Committee is working hard to establish a long term sustainable Recycling Program. We can make this happen with a little bit of help from those who believe in the importance of recycling.

Talkeetna Recycling Committee is partnering with Valley Community for Recycling Solutions and Mat-Su Borough in an effort to reduce the amount of trash filling the Palmer Landfill.   We are raising funds for 2 refurbished container from the borough. They cost $10,000 a piece and with the help of grants and YOU...we can reach our goal of $25,000 to implement a long-term program including education on recycling.

Our Borough will transfer the recyclables to the Valley Recycling Center. The Valley Recycling Center in Palmer is doing great things to reduce the amount of waste going in its neighboring landfill.... Which is where Talkeetna's trash goes to.
