Disabled Pat needs a home!

I’m Pat Cisarano. I was a vocalist here in NYC for many years. I had a ball!
Things have dramatically changed for me since I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2000. I had a great apartment in Cobble Hill. The owner decided to sell the property in 2014.
Due to several circumstances, I became “homeless” at the end of 2014. It sucks.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumor-a meningioma, in 2000. It wasn’t cancerous, but was in a dangerous place physically. The surgery was meant to cure me, but it resulted in several serious problems.
One is AFP, atypical facial pain. It produces constant severe neurological facial pain. Some years after, I had a “bleed” in my head-like a stroke. This took away my ability to walk normally.
Several years ago, my friend Patrik Krebs suggested that I try Go Fund Me to raise money. I thought an apt was coming up at that time.
GFM raised around $2000, but the apt never happened. I spent the $ on living stuff.
The government gives me around $900. per month & food stamps. That’s what I live on.
It’s unbelievably difficult to find a home in the 5 boroughs when you’re poor. Many of you understand that illness can cause poverty. It took 2 years for my money to deplete.
The 1st time I used GFM, I explained how I became homeless through my own bad decisions-trusting the wrong people. Desperation is dangerous.

Many people have said that they never thought they would end up in this or that situation. I’m saying that now. To be homeless has a very deep effect. I can write about that, but now’s not the time.
A city program (available only in the 5 boroughs) will pay my rent up to $1268. Their record in paying is perfect. No one ever gets ripped off.
Due to walking issues, an elevator or a 1st floor is necessary.
If you know someone who owns a building, perhaps they’d want to help. They may get a tax write off.
