Paisleys VUR surgery

Donation protected

A few days ago, Paisley was diagnosed with Vesicoureteral Reflux (VUR). Normally, urine flows from the kidneys through the ureters then into the bladder, but with VUR, instead, urine flows back into the kidneys from the bladder. The cause of VUR is typically from birth, where the connection from the ureter to the bladder didn’t form normally when the child is growing in the womb. Bacteria in the kidney can lead to damage over time, which may eventually lead to kidney failure. If we don't treat this condition, her kidneys can overtime enlarge and lead to kidney failure. Now she is  set to undergo surgery to reimplant the ureters into the bladder on both side on May  4th.  Any donations that we recieve will help pay for the missed work while she's in the hospital (4 days is the expected time she'll be in the hospital recovering) and for whatever mediciation afterwards.
