Padge Kelly Boccia Euro Cup Fund

All my life I have played many different sports from golf to GAA. Soccer was my favourite and I played it from when I started walking until I was sixteen. In 2004 I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. I taught my sporting life was finished. 

Two years ago I was introduced to Boccia, a sport played by athlete's in wheelchairs. I heard it was a Paralympic sport and Team Ireland had a pretty successful team. I set myself the goal of getting on that team. 

Last weekend I achieved that goal and earned a place to represent Ireland at the 2015 Boccia European Continental Cup. Two years of hard training had paid off. 
Each athlete is required to contribute to the cost of travel and competition fee. I will also need a personal assistant to travel with me. At the moment I will need to raise €1600 with some contribution coming from our governing body.
